Aereth is not a solitary world circling its sun. It is the largest inhabited moon of Gwydion, an enormous ringed gas giant orbiting the star Bel. Together with Aereth's smaller moon Aine, the luminous Ley surrounding Gwydion, and the other worlds of the Bel system, these celestial bodies have shaped Aereth's calendars, cultures, religions, magic, and understanding of the universe.
