Preparation
The Sisters wash, prepare, and tend the deceased before formal rites of remembrance and final disposition. Their methods preserve dignity and allow distant family or necessary observances time to be completed.
Preservation
The Order possesses old practical methods capable of slowing the visible effects and odors of decay for a limited time. These techniques are closely held within the Sisterhood and are used in service of families and the dead rather than as a separate magical art.
Cremation
Cremation is the customary final disposition among Cerosian communities. Ashes may be kept in family vaults, private memorial spaces, or public Necropoli. Noble Houses often maintain ancestral vaults, while communal memorial places serve those without private family holdings.
Valuable possessions ordinarily pass to family or heirs rather than being destroyed with the body, although small personal tokens may accompany the deceased according to family custom.
