The Sisters and the Church

The Good Works of Ceros

The Church of Ceros points to the Sisters as one of the clearest expressions of mercy within the Faith. Temples commonly support their local hospices, and priests may speak of the Sisters' work as carrying the blessing and grace of Ceros.

An Independent Conscience

The Sisters themselves are less concerned with claiming credit than with relieving suffering. Their long history, right of Sanctuary, independent income, and public trust give the Order room to follow its own conscience even when Church politics become difficult.

A Sister faced with an injured person does not first conduct an inquiry into ancestry, doctrine, or suspected magic. She treats the patient. Questions, if they are necessary at all, may wait until afterward.
