Foreword

The Chronicles of Aereth is an 18+ collaborative storytelling roleplaying game (RPG) set in an original fantasy world inspired by swords-and-sorcery fiction, mythology, and history. You must be at least eighteen years old to join, create a character, and write with us.

Our influences include A Song of Ice and Fire / Game of Thrones, Dragonriders of Pern, Andre Norton's Witch World, The Lord of the Rings, and plenty of other fantasy that has found its way into the mix over the years.

Aereth is a shared world. Players are welcome to work with the Game Managers (GMs) to expand it through new characters, stories, cultures, and ideas. We cannot promise that every request for a new land, species, race, or concept will fit the setting, but we will do our best to work with you.

Aereth Is Not Medieval Earth

Aereth loosely resembles a medieval world and visually draws inspiration from series such as Game of Thrones and House of the Dragon. Some places may feel more archaic or more advanced than their real-world counterparts. Aereth is fantasy, not a historical simulation.

Characters may hold beliefs and attitudes appropriate to their cultures, their histories, or simply the people they are. They are not required to reproduce the values of medieval Earth.
