A Betrayal of the Mantle

To the Guardians, a Dark Templar is not merely an enemy combatant but a betrayal of the mantle, training, trust, and sacred duties of the Order. Confirmed Dark Templars are stripped of standing and treated as grave threats to the Faithful and to the Order itself.

The Called Who Fall

The corruption of a Called Guardian is treated with particular dread because the Calling normally resists Shadow Corruption. Such cases are rare enough to become cautionary histories within the Orders.

The existence of fallen Called does not make the Calling suspect. Guardian teaching instead emphasizes that no gift removes free will and no resistance should be mistaken for invulnerability.
