Separate Threats

Dark Templars and y Carthu are not the same institution and should not be conflated. Dark Templars are fallen Guardians aligned with or corrupted by Shadow. y Carthu is a human extremist movement whose rhetoric of purity, Light, and dangerous magic may exceed or contradict official Church teaching.

The irony is not lost on thoughtful Guardians: fear, absolutism, cruelty, and certainty can create the very wounds that Shadow knows how to exploit. Yet y Carthu's excesses are not proof of supernatural corruption, just as a Dark Templar need not share y Carthu's ideology.
