The Dark Templars

A Feared Legacy

The Dark Templars are an old and deeply feared corruption within Guardian history. Insidious rather than merely brutal, they represent the possibility that the discipline, access, authority, and supernatural gifts of a Guardian can be turned toward purposes the Order was created to oppose.

Even among experienced Guardians, stories of the Dark Templars carry a particular dread. Their danger lies not only in martial power, but in their ability to work within trusted structures, conceal their purpose, and exploit the confidence granted to members of the Order.

Modern Aereth Treatment

The Dark Templars should remain rare. They are not a routine alternate character class or a second public branch of the Church. Their existence belongs to the darker history and hidden dangers of the Order.

The origins, methods, and corrupted gifts of the Dark Templars are not common knowledge. Their deeper secrets are reserved for Game Canon and discovery through play.
